Synopsis
You're a small bird in a dark forest; it's time for your first flight. Soar between trees and boulders in a desperate effort to keep up with momma bird. Can you make it out of the woods in one piece?
Development
Fledge is a fast-paced runner-style game developed over roughly eight weeks by a team of students from The Game Assembly Malmö. This was my first project as a game programmer at TGA, and the game was developed in Unity. My main responsibilities were the mom, environment, and effects. This included:
・ Coding the behavior of the mom's flight and her drops
・ Shaders for water and ground using shader-graphs
・ Shader for proper shadows on double-sided meshes
・ Trails, particles, and shader for particles with HDR emission
・ Post processing, lighting, and shadows
